Connection Test Site

EPM Remote Desktop Connectivity Tests:
After clicking on the desired launch method below, you should see either the message "Successful Connection" or an authentication prompt with username "Sucessful" - both indicate that the test was successful. Note: The connection time could be up to two minutes if client components need to be downloaded.

  1. Launch with RDP Port 3389 - Standard RDP port
  2. Launch with RDP Port 443 - HTTPS/SSL Port
  3. Launch with RDP Port 22 - SSH Port
  4. Launch with RDP w/o ActiveX on Port 3389 - Standard RDP Port
  5. Launch with RDP w/o ActiveX on Port 443 - HTTPS/SSL Port
  6. Launch with RDP w/o ActiveX on Port 22 - SSH Port
  7. Launch with ICA ActiveX using Citrix Secure Gateway - HTTPS/SSL Port
  8. Launch with ICA Java using Citrix Secure Gateway - HTTPS/SSL Sun JVM
  9. Launch with RDP using Microsoft TS Gateway - HTTPS/SSL Port (Requires TS Client 6 or higher)
  10. Launch with RDP w/o ActiveX using Microsoft TS Gateway - HTTPS/SSL Port (Requires TS Client 6 or higher)


Computer and Browser Configuration:
The following steps are required changes neccessary to use our services.

  1. Trusted Sites - Add this site https://secure.msepmonlinetour.com to your trusted sites and set the proper browser security settings:
    • In your IE Tools menu, click Internet Options
    • Click on the Security tab, then on the Trusted Sites sites icon, then on the Sites button
    • In the Add this website to the zone box, type in the site https://secure.msepmonlinetour.com
    • Click on Add then Close
    • Next, click on the Custom Level button
    • Scroll to the bottom of the Security Settings window and make sure that the Logon section is set to Automatic logon with current user name and password.
    • Click on OK then Yes then OK to save changes.
    • If you don't have permission to change this setting on your computer and the setting is fixed to Automatic logon only in Intranet zone, then as an alternative, you can add this site to your Local Intranet zone, rather than to the Trusted sites zone.
    • *For IE v7 or higher users: These steps place this site into a different security zone. Because of this IE may prompt "Internet Explorer needs to open a new window to display this webpage." when attempting to open this page. If prompted, check the box "Do not show this message again" and click OK.
    • If you are unable to make these changes then you do not have permission to do so. For an actual deployment we would need to coordinate this change with your IT staff.
  2. Remember Password - Now that this site https://secure.msepmonlinetour.com is one of your Trusted sites (see above step), you need to verify that "Remember Password" is working:
    • From your Windows Start menu, open a new IE browser window.
    • In the address bar, enter the URL: https://secure.msepmonlinetour.com/testpassword.asp
    • When you get a login prompt enter the following:
      • Username: a1\TestPassword
      • Password: pass@word1
      • Check "Remember Password" box
    • Close IE and re-open the same URL: https://secure.msepmonlinetour.com/testpassword.asp
    • If you went straight to that page without having to log in, then "Remember Password" is working correctly.
    • If you still get a login prompt then you do not have permission to save your password. For an actual deployment we would need to coordinate this change with your IT staff.
